Two Audiophile 2496 cards?

I was wondering if I am going to need the spdif breakout cable to run two cards at once? I have a second card coming, and I am having a hard time finding my breakout cable. I know I can order one, but I'm hoping I won't have to.

Yeah, if you're going to want to sync the two up, you're going to have to take the SPDIF OUT on the master card and pop it into the SPDIF IN on the slave card. not much avoiding that, unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking around and found this on M-Audio's website... someone asked about linking delta series cards. This is what they had to say after telling how to do it with the spdif cables...

The Operating Systems Windows 2000/XP support "KernelSync" and do not necessarily need the external connection using S/PDIF. Delta 44 can only be stacked in these Operating Systems, since this card does not have a S/PDIF connector. For this type of Operation, all cards have to be set to "Multiple Card Sync".

Is that correct?
