A couple of years ago, I wrote a song called "Twenty Years" and of course as a writer, I thought the concept was good (If I don't think it's good, why bother to write it, right?) The song (especially the rhythm guitar motif in the first version) came from a Rolling Stones song "True and True" that Keef sang the vocals on. Anyway it's amongst some songs I'm "shopping around" and I've created a new mix of the song. To say the least, the new mix has taken on an identity of it's own and is somewhat of a departure from the original idea. Now, I'm not sure which one works best. Even though the lyrics are the same, the feel is totally different. Please take a listen and give me your oppinion as to the "better" mix. They are both posted on my Soundclick page back to back. Once you get to the page, click on the music link and they are the first 2 songs posted. Any comments made sure would be appreciated. Thanking you in advance :)

Wow nice guitar playing, very sweet. Great singing too. I listened to the whole remix version and only about 30 seconds of the old version and much prefer the remix. The only thing the song cries out for is a real drummer. The sequenced drums are too busy and the song deserves a really tasty player. I've used this guy before if you want something fast, cheap and good.

Man,I love that kind of music............keep it up........

Beautiful gtr work. It'd be nice to hear more of it doing supporting licks behind the vocal all the way through as the vocal style and the gtr compliment one another just right. The vocals, gtr and bass are competing somewhat for the 300-500 Hz range, IMO, giving the mix an overall slight imbalance there. BG vox might be a bit loud in spots.
