Okay, I finally got the hang of how to record in cool edit, and edit it, put in back ups, etc.. I have a pretty good mic (Sm58), no real complaints about that, but I do have one problem.... my voice is extremley low, I can't even hear my self.. especially at the height of the beat, it just drowns my voice out.. I know that there has to be some controls somewhere to fix this, and even everything out. I simply don't know which ones control that.. can someone help me out, thanx.. i'll be battling real soon..

you can do it two ways.. in edit view you can turn up the sound of your vocals by going to effects>amplitude>amplify.. then you can turn it up as much as you want.. or you can just turn up the track that has your vocals by turning up the volume of the track in track controls.. which is located to the left of each track in multitrack view..

also to decrease static from your vocals when their turned up too high you can put a limiter on them.. preferablly at around -2 db.. also you can do compression to your vocals to reduce the erratic wavelengths
