tuning git to match vox.

how is it determined?

I know that APC tunes the 6th sring down to C# and the whole formation is standard tuning relative to that.
They say its to match Maynards voice.

Well, how do you determine which tuning is best for your voice.
Is there an actual method used?

That guy can sing pretty friggin high. More likely, they just like the way his voice sounds on songs that are based in C# rather than E. Lots of people tune down to Eb, try that. Then if that doesn't work, go lower. I think most vocalists just kind of stumble on the right key at some point.

maynard doesnt sing high...
He has a pretty low range. Although it is very broad.

The guy from Offspring...now he can sing high.

I cant hit a single note of the offsprings stuff, but I can match all the vocals on Mer de Noms. All except the very last really long scream at the end of Judith. That is hi.......
