Stand Up Comity
I'm sending a birthday present to a 14 YO kid who's learning to play electric. I'd like to get him a tuner, $30~$50.

Any recommendations?

Go to the guitar store and look at tuners in the $30-50 range?

I already went to MF and cruised those. Just wondering if any of my brilliant HR friends had something they really liked.

What do you use, espskully?

I've got a Boss stage tuner - pretty pricey. I used to have a Korg electronic tuner that I liked - but I left it at a gig. It was around $60 Canadian - so about what you're looking for. Don't go super cheapy though - I bought a $25 tuner and it's useless. Try a Korg.

I like my $30 Sieko tuner...I forget the exact model no. My guitar sounds good after tuning w/ it, though.

The little Korg tuners are like $25 or $30 and pretty good. For a bit more, I think they make one with a built-in metronome too.

i like the Sabine's and i think they are like thirty five or so

the Korg AC 30 i think is the model that i had and loved to death! it was only $20 which worked for me! but i guess if you can pull it off the onboard research TU 2 bare bones clip on tuner works wonders for your ease of use.... i have broke mine and lost a screw out of it i called the company asking if they could sell me the part i broke or if i would have to buy another tuner and they just sent me the parts for free and it was very fast shipping also i might add!

you're a good man apl.... i wish more people would invest in a kid when he is starting out like that.

I think Korg is really nice on the low end stuff. You aren't gonna go wrong with 'em.
