TUBEFIRE8 vs Firewire ...

My ART tubefire8 interface seems to squawk occasionally when recording in Sonar.

Is that common, or an issue with my firewire connection.

I have Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE Host Controller


good enough, or no??

Define squawk. Do you mean an occasional pop/crackle or something else? If it's a pop here and there, that's probably their drivers being buggy. If it is some other sound, I might be more inclined to suspect hardware (the interface, not the computer).
