Hello!

I own a little pc-based studio
ECHO LAYLA 3G, some pre and some good mic

I'm wondering if colud be a good thing buying an external PARAMETRIC to equalize some traks (snare, kick, voice..)

I've seen something like ART TUBE EQ or dual tube eq (art)

I'd like a tube equalizer but I don't know if a low cost eq such art could be better than a good digital plug in (for example ultrafunk)

what do you think?
other good tube gear?

thank youuuuuu!!!!

in that price range you would be much better off with a plugin like the "Blue Tube bundle".....or...... I own a UAD-1 and the pultec EQ is very good maybe the best plug-in EQ out there IMHO.

I've not used one, but it may simply be an inexpensive chip design with a tube stuck on the end.
If you're recording to a pc, would you want to eq while tracking or go through another conversion to use it on a mix?
The plugs are sounding very good, and might a better value.

Unless you are going to buy a nice outboard EQ, I would jsut stick with software. The UAD bundle is a great place to start. The sonalksis EQ's are also pretty nice for plug-ins.
