I am a total newbie to pro tools and PC recording, although I have been recording music my whole life on more conventional devices, and have played around with Sony Acid a little.
I recently purchased the Mbox 2 factory bundle and the guitar rig 2 software which in my opinion is as good as any real guitar processor I think I've ever owned (and I've used many of them over the years), but I can't figure out how I can possibly record my guitar into pro tools using guitar rig, I have no problem playing with it as a stand alone, when I installed it I installed everything it offered including all plug in capabilities, it specifies in the documentation that it can be used with pro tools, but as far as I can tell it doesn't describe how, could just be my inexperience.
Once I start up pro tools and create a track I have no clue how to route my signal through the guitar rig software and into pro tools. I have purchased several books for pro tools but haven't been able to find the information I need yet, I figure there is someone out there who knows and can easily explain it to me, so any help is greatly appreciated.
