hey, 'nother newb here
i'm currently running up to 3 xlr lines into a behringer ub1622fx (it has 4 but the second one does not pick up any signal) and then by tape out to my audiophile 2496 pci card.
the audiophile has 2x2 analog jacks and a s/pdif i/o as well as midi i/o. i would like to eventually hook up a midi controller and a midi drum machine to the system. is there a good way i could do this? and also is there any benefit of choosing a digital mixer (such as roland vm3100) over an analog mixer for these purposes? my current mixer is almost overkill because i could get by with just 2 xlr jacks and i don't need behringer's on-board 'FX' although the invisible mic preamps are very awesome.
if anyone could give me a couple mock setups so i can at least expand my view here that would be extremely cool
thanks
