Its been a long time since I posted. I've been trying to get better at this mixing thing.

These are pre-master and everytime I hear them I hear little things that bother me.... but overall what do you guys suggest as far as changes?

www.what-exit.com/temp.htm

Thanks.

4?

You really should post at least twelve songs at once.....
It's the way things work here in the clinic man...
I don't think a lot of the guys here want to listen to 4 measly songs when other guys are postin' like 20 at a time.....ya know?

Once....this fella....posted like........42 songs at once....

He got a lot of responses.....

a whole lot.........yes he did... :D

Sorry about that.
I didn't know the rules.
I just worked on all four of them at the same time so I didn't know which one to choose.

Just take a look at the first one then. Honestly, I just want some pointers so it doesn't really matter if you listen to one or four.

Once again, I apologize for not following the proper posting etiquette. I didn't realize.
My bad.

There are no rules man....
You can post as many songs at once that you want to....

no rules man...no rules...

I'll check out your tunage man...
I don't know shit but, I'll check it out...

Forever and Always.....
vox...too far out front....or the guits are to low...
guits need balls..
bass is hard to hear...needs definition in the mix...
A bit too much verb on the vox..
kick is OK on the drum....snare sounds flat.....muted.....
cymbals are very hard to hear man......
seems to be a lack of use the stereo field...
sort of all to the middle...vox on top.....

I like the tune man...

Take it easy,
Joe

Thanks man.

I panned the overheads hard left and right but I guess that's not enough to get a stereo image of the drums. Maybe next time I should get the mics closer to the cymbals themselves.

Also, my eqing of the cymbals may be off a bit. I will try to play around with them and lower the vox and take off some reverb. Thanks for the suggestions. It really helps a lot when you have someone else objectively listen to your mix. If you ever have time, listen to Now I Know. For some reason it seemed like the easiest to mix. I especially like the solo at the end.
