I searched the web for a solution, but so far found nothing, so hopefully someone here might be able to point me in the right direction..

I have an Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96 which has worked fine for about a year, but when school started to catch up with me I disconnected it and stored it out of the way while I finished up the school year. A few days ago I brought it back out to begin recording again and none of the inputs work. The outputs work fine, but I'm getting no signal in any of the inputs. I tried using all of the inputs straight from my guitar, from an effects processor, from my amp, from a condenser mic and from a dinamic mic, no signal at all from any of them.
My computer is running windows XP with an Intel pentium 4 2.8 Ghz processor, 512 mb ram. I have the latest drivers installed.

I tried to fix the problem by a number of ways.. I first tried restarting my computer, disconnecting and reconnecting the cables, nothing helped. I reinstalled the drivers, I switched the card to a different PCI slot. I uninstalled it and booted my computer up without the card and then shut-down and reinstalled the card and drivers. I've pretty much run out of ideas. It was afterhours when I was trying to fix it, so I couldn't call tech support. I e-mailed them and am awaiting a reply, and if I can't fix it by monday I will call their tech support, because I have heard good things about it.

Any ideas or suggestions or any type of help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's early in the morning and my eyes may not be working yet, but I don't see what recording software you are using. Can you tell us?

Before you re-installed, did you run the un-installer first? Perhaps, go into safe mode and make sure that all Aark files are removed before a re-install.

I use the following programs:
Acid pro 4.0
Audio studio 7
cakewalk home studio

but that's not the problem, because on the direct pro 24/96 control panel where it shows all of the inputs and outputs the input meters don't do anything no matter what I plug into the inputs.

I will try making sure all aark files are gone now, i have some spare time.

Thanks

so far no luck.. I'll call tech support tomorrow and see what they think. I have a feeling it may be a problem with the box and I'll have to get it fixed, because the power LED light doesn't light up at all, and if I press the phantom power button, the phantom LED light lights up, but very faintly. It's either that or a problem with getting the power through the PCI slots, that's my guess.

Thanks for all your help, and if anyone has any other suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.
