Hi,
So I have been trying to record guitar within cubase for about a week now, and I think its time I asked for some help.
The problem
My set-up is Guitar>pod 2.0> mic input.
When I set up a recording track in Cubase (following the instructions in the 'help' menu) I get a very distorted sound, as if it is clipping with a slight tremolo effect.
So I set about with the standard trial and error, checking leads and such, but everything works fine. In fact I can record into audacity with perfect quality, or simply listen to my guitar through the speakers with the 'playback' option on 'Realtek HD Audio Manager' (came with the computer). I have the latest driver for the realtek software.
I have tried adjusting every volume control, the guitar, the pod and on cubase. Perhaps there is some hidden gain control I can't find?
Any thoughts are welcome here, as I'm sure I have missed something.
Thanks
