I am using Cool Edit Pro 2.1 and I got A presonus firestudio and can not figure out how to assign mics to seperate tracks. Everytime I try one mic pics up on all 8 channels. What can I do about this?

Ordinarily, you make sure the input device is recognized and selected in Options/Settings/Device Order and that the correct channel is selected in each track's window at the left side of the Multi Track View.
