Trouble getting POD upgrade - not happy with MARS

Can anyone vouch for Line 6's ability to get them a POD upgrade chip in a timely manner?

I ordered an upgrade chip from my local (Indianapolis) MARS music store (where I had purchased my POD)because at the time, the Line 6 web site said I had to go through a dealer, that I couldn't just order it directly from them. The guy at MARS took my order (and a 50% deposit) and said a week to ten days, two weeks tops. It's been over TWO MONTHS! Everytime I ask them, they blame Line 6 for not shipping, but say that Line 6 tells them there's no problem. They supposedly called the factory rep and he said he would take care of it. That was three weeks ago, no word. I used the line 6 web sight customer service, they gave me a number (not toll-free, btw) for tech support. The first two times I called them, I got voice mail and was never called back. I finally got through to them today, and they said that the problem must be with MARS, that they don't have any backlog or shipping problems.

I want to order one from their website, but has anyone else here ordered one this way, and did it take forever to get it?

Maybe I should have bought a Johnson.
