"Which is best" is rather subjective. It's all in what you're looking for. Personally, I prefer the strings and orchestral patches in the Roland. Good luck with your decision.

oh yeah im looking for drums,synths things in that area.I dont like the guitar wahs on the jv-1010 i have to choose from is their an exp.card that has some good ones?

Drums are pretty decent in both the Roland and Korg but to my ear the Korg offers the better synth sounds. As for expansion cards, the Roland 'Session' card is what I'd recommend should you go with the JV-1080.

why?the sounds on the session card is just a bunch of sounds it has already mixed together

I have them both, and which is best is really a personal preference. In my opinion, the TR sounds better, but if you are only going to purchase one, I would go with the JV. It is a lot easier to use, it's expandable, it has more effects and sound manipulation abilities, and it also has memory cards , so you can save any custom patches that you create.
