Tried to get off cheap

Bought a Digitech Control 8 midi controler for my Pod. It was $100.00 cheaper than the Pod floorboard.

Got the wah to work, but the only way to shut it off was to scroll to another number. Way too much trouble.

Also the continuous control numbers could not be changed, this seemed really weird. This means you can't asign it to do what you want it to.

Also pedal was stiff and creeky.

So back to Sam Ash to exchange it for Pod floorboard.

Very smooth wah pedal, and to my ears a very good sounding wah. Although this is the first wah I have ever owned. Also seems very quiet. Volume pedal the same. Very nice!!

My two complaints, the switches are mechanically very loud, not so good for recording, mics will probably pick up footswitch sound. I will try to figure a way to quiet them down.

Second minor complaint, the switch that asigns either banks, or effects, should be closer to the bank and effect switches, for easier access.

Since I had never had a wah before, I must have played with it for about four hours strait, man what fun.

All in all, love the Pod floorboard, and recomend it highly, the wah was a very pleasant surprise, sounds great.

Also, only one wire comes out of that puppy, and no wall wart, nice!!

I've got the pod but no floorboard, and I always forget about the wah and volume pedal funtions i'm missing. Is there any other function that you get with the floorboard that you can't access with just the pod?

It's still new to me, but aside from the wah, and volume pedal, it also has a tuner that works very well, mind you I have the 2.0 Pod.

Also the floorboard will scroll to another bank, and channel inaudibly, when you scroll with just the Pod it's audible.

Also you can also have delay and rotary speaker combination.

Also when the floorboard is in effects mode, and you go through the presets, it tells you what effects are in use, on each preset.

Also has distortion, drive boost, and eq (presence boost) switches.
