i know this is a hugely generic question...but i'll ask it anyway...

does anyone have any hints on getting mixes to translate better specicially on computer speakers? it seems my vocals are always a bit too up on the smaller speakers...i can't seem to find a good medium.

i used to mix with little computer speakers next to me...but i found using them and striking a balance between them and another set brought the vocals too low most other places.

perhaps the rest of my mix is too dull?

hm...any comments or suggestions (besides buy a subwoofer for your computer  ) completely welcome!

Vocals should always be louder on computer speakers. If not, then you've probably done something wrong.

ah really...like the old ns10 type thing? makes sense.

i still think my heft isn't there on the backing track...nor is the guitar enough...hrm.

i hate computer speakers...
