Transfering files from my MR8HD to computer

I have not tried this yet but i read the manual and it says that you can only transfer from track 7/8 after converting the track from mono WAV to stereo WAV. What does this mean??? Can you transfer files from tracks 1 2 3 4 and 5/6 too?

Go to the Fostex site and download a program called "Wave Manager". It will allow you to transfer all your tracks to the pc without rendering them down to a stereo wave file. That way you can mix them in your software instead of onboard the machine.

I find you don't even need wave manager. Just plug your mr-8 to your computer, and it will read it like an external hard drive. then drag the tracks over into garage band, or cubase, or somesuch. It's much better to mix on a computer than on the mr-8.
