I have the cakewalk pro audio 9. I use a layla & Gina 20 bit, I'm now taking my old 8 track reels and putting them on my computer. My question is how do I save the files to clear up disc room. I do have a cd-r/rw on the computer. Do I save them to that as a .bun file? then once saved what files can I delete from the computer? I don't want to lose any of the work i've done. Any help would be great. Thanks L.Ron

That is one way if the bun fits less than the 700 megs. If not, an option is to save the small cwp file and as many of the wave-data track files on one disk and the rest on a second.
What about CD-R vs -RW? Are 'R's suposed to be a little more reliable?

ps. Consider making a new folder for each song's track data as you record them into cake. Makes 'housekeeping' a lot less confusing later.
:D

CD-R: You can record CDs
CD-RW: You can record CDs, and if you get special CDs you can rewrite on them...

Yep, as mixsit said, If the buns are under 700 MB then you can burn it to disk. The best way really using PA9.

700 MB is around 24 tracks running almost 6 minutes at 16bit/44.1kHz, so you should be okay...
