Tracktion bug... maybe

Does anyone else have this problem: When I record a basic guitar rhythm, I punch it in so that I can simply loop it. So say I record four measures from 01:01:00 to 04:01:00 (bars)... I loop that clip and it's all good.

But then I unloop it (or I take the audio file into another program like n-track)... and suddenly it's not four measures anymore... It's like four and a half. It's now partially looped and extremely irritating. It's taken the four measures and add a repeat of the first half measure. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't change the audio file itself...

Anyone have this problem and know how to fix it?
 
and if i click undo a few times to go back to the original form, before looping it, it's all fine again.
 
Why don't you just record the whole rhythm guitar part?
 
I could yes. But I'm wondering if this could easily be fixed.
