Tracks move when I change tempo

Unpossible!
I fixed this once before, but since I built a new computer and reinstalled cubase, the problem is back. I have drum tracks recorded, but they were to an imported scratch track. I didn't set the tempo when we recorded, but now need to do some pretty heavy drum editing, so I want to set up a grid. When I change the tempo, all the tracks move, and it throws off the edits that are there. How do I shut off the "feature" that automatically moves the tracks?

Christ, I did this awhile ago and now can't seem to find it. Gimme 5 minutes

Okay, it looks like if you switch the track's timebase to linear, it won't move to the tempo change (though I did it a different way last time, but can't for the life of me remember how)

Thank you!!!!

That did it. Is there a global setting for that though? I need to re-set up a template. I have a bunch of settings screwed up in my new template. Can you import old templates? I still have my old computer with cubase installed - I can't run Cubase w/o the dongle, but maybe I can access the template files?

That's what I was looking for, but I couldn't find anything like that. However, in Preferences -> Editing, you can set the default timebase to linear (though it's not a fix, it should achieve what you're looking for). I don't know if it affects projects you already have made though.
