Tracking in Acid?

Do alot of people use acid for tracking as well as loops? I've been using it to create my drum tracks since 3.0 came out, then I export the whole thing as a stereo wav and do the rest of my work in n-track. Could I do all of it just as easily in Acid? (If so, I may forgo getting the next upgrade for n-track)

i have been doing it with great success, but the only problem that i am running into is assigning enough memory to keep up with my effects during mixing.
