is there anyway to split an mp3 cd that was recorded with protools back into the multitracks for editing? the cd was burned from protools as a draft. i don't have protools but i would like to get the tracks back to the multitrack format so i can edit them for the desired sound. any way to do that? (or if nothing else, convert mp3 to rsn formats)

Nope, as some have said, no more than you can turn a cake back into eggs, water, flour, etc...

Like JC said, it's simply not possible. The closest you can come to being able to reach into the mix is to use a multiband parametric eq and/or a multiband compressor, but there's only so much you can do, and you really have to know what you're doing.
