Track Recording

Currently, when I attempt to record seperate multiple tracks simultaneously ALL tracks record duplicate inputs.
How can I record seperate multiple tracks simultaneously? ie: 1 vocal, 2 guitars...
I have done this before by adjusting the input volume (from my board) for each track but have forgotten how ... can anyone help?

What audio interface are you using? Or are you feeding a mixing board into your sound card?

Yeah it depends on your interface but if you have separate lines coming into something like a PCI interface, then there is a dropdown on each channel to select the input, in either mono or stereo. You might have stereo selected? That drops two waveforms on a single track.

My guess i that you have created tracks for vocals and guitars, but then not specified on each track which input it is to use.
