Good day,

I'm wondering what you think about this one.

It was recorded one year ago with my live! card. I remixed it for my new singer with my audiophile 2496 and this is the result.

Please give me some constructive critics coze I'm still a newby to mixing.
I Hope you like it.

Not a bad recording.Has a nice groove too.Just shoot that singer!

ron... nice job. the mix was pretty good. good instrumentation and I dug the weird fx at the end. What was that? reversed guitar of some sort? I didn't care for the vocal style, but mix wise, they sat very well. Maybe bring the drums up a bit more to help drive the tune. Especially where the beat picks up from 1/2 time. Good use of synth pads. Present, but not over bearing. I hate over bearing synth pads.

I think the mix of the instruments is OK, maybe the drums could come up a bit. The vocal is so far forward I think it gives the illusion that the lowend is weak. The vocal, my friend, just plain hurts. I mean no slam but it was painful.

Decent mix
Interesting melody and instrumentation!
I think the singer could do better by just staying in his range.
Otherwise a unique piece!

Nice tune. Good sound to it. it could be much worse for sure. The singer is ok in my book but i think maybe a few more vocal effects my be in order to make him sound a little more pleasing to the ear. I could only understand a few words but they say the same thing about Mick Jagger. Good piece!

I agree this is an interesting tune.. I like the strange guitar.. When the keyboards come in things start to get a little strange.. The singer had some off spots, you can probably get a better take.. That part with the keys doesnt sound right.. not sure what it is that bugs me in that one part.. that guitar or the keys.. the mix is pretty good except for the vocals being too loud.. I like the tune..

Thanks for the replies. I shot the singer already. B Sabbath you are right, there is something wrong in the refrain. I think it is the bass with the strings. The singing is really to much upfront. But anyway I'm changing the piece now. I've got a new singer, a young talented girl, who will fix this one. Cheers..

yep, interesting.. I think the strings need to be a backdrop across........the stereo field since you got all that stuff going on, otherwise it sound like an instrument voice trapped in one corner. The drums need some phat on them. The singer could be salvaged with maybe some verb and a little flange to cover the pitch deviations, and make it a little brighter. nice concept..

Very cool arrangement but the sound in general is a but muddy. The highs aren't really there.
