..well, not my attic. but my gear closet. Tonight I found my old Tech21 Sansamp Original. I haven't used it in years because I just love the sounds of my Marshall, Roland JC120, and my Mesa Boogie V-Twin. However, now that I'm married with 4 kids, it's kinda hard to power up the amps, so I thought I'd give the Sansamp a try again. I never really liked it much, but I mostly tried it to front my Roland. Tonight I ran it into my digital mixer, added some reverb and some slight delay and the thing kicked my ass across the room! woohoo!!! I was thinking of getting one of the newer modelers, but to hell with that! This is like finding money in your suit pocket you haven't worn since your 2nd cousins wedding 2 years ago!

FET's rule. :)

The Classic is starting to become a collectors item in Europe, I guess they don't realize they are still available. I've never used that model, but I love the PSA-1 and GT-2. To me their strength is sounds that are between clean and dirty. Rhythm tones.

Really? Not too many of them on ebay, so it's hard to gauge the going price. I think I got mine as part of a rent payment. Maybe $75 worth or something. The guitar I had before didn't do it justice. Tonight I ran my Ernie Ball Musicman into it and it was awesome. Especially the Fender tones.

Yeah. Those SansAmps rock. I also have the GT2 and PSA-1. They sound good enough to use live in place of my TriAxis. I just leave the PSA-1 in the rack and never have to lug my rig to a gig.

I've never heard a modeller that sounds better.

Congrats on your discovery!
