Ok, for all you reason guru's (besides myself :)) here ya go

For some odd reason my reason program has started saying this message

"Preferences were not saved, Unable to save preferences to disk"

Wat the hell does this mean, i've tryed everything, even reinstalling so wat the hell is going on with my software?!

Disk problem maybe? See if its full (meaning less than a gig)

I got 42.9 gigs and im cleaning it out!!

Do you have an external drive? If so, try saving the project there and see what happens.

The way the Reason manual reads, the preferences are saved with the default song.

Try clearing out --- deleting --- your current custom default song, then bringing up the 'empty rack' default song. Then build the rack as you want it including remote and keyboard preferences and save it to disk with a different name than you used before.

I've never encountered this problem, but the Props have made Reason such a bullet-proof app that they've probably seen this message and know how to deal with it --- IMHO your next step would be to contact them.

alrighty then...

ima try this way, i hope it works cause i always wanted to have a pallet of sounds to pick from without mentally memorizing all the sounds in my head in any given folder (thats just not practical)

I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Reason has all kinds of tools that let you use your ears and your ears only to figure out your arrangement with no 'mentally memorizing' required...

I'm talking about the synths, drum machine(s) and samplers you have in your default song. You do have a default song set up, right?

I meant like my favorite sounds that i use consistantly, and no it still didn't work!
