I had to sand down a small portion of my Tele's head stock. The section sanded is the width of the neck and about 1/4 inch tall. The section sanded is the little "hump" between the nut and the truss rod adjustment opening.
The finish is a clear satin. What can I use to treat this bare wood section and retain as much of it's original sheen as possible? I know I can apply the finish with a small "model car" paintbrush but whatever I do apply I want to make sure it's compatible with the original finish. I believe the section is just too small to use any type of spray effectively.
