anyone know what the total speaker impedance should be for a 59 gibson invader amp? (GA-30/GA-30rv/GA-30rvt)

were reworking and rehabing this amp. Its been worked on by a lot of people over the years and were trying to get it back to its original setup.

it has the original Jensen speaker.

thanks

off the top of my head

measure the jensen's resistance

"If you just want to find out the nominal impedence of the speaker e.g. ist it 4, 8 or 15 ohms then there is a rough & ready way. Just use your multimeter to measure the DC resistance of the voice coil i.e. across the speaker terminals (with nothing else connected) and multiply the answer by 1.3. So if the DC resistance is say 6 ohms then the speaker is nominally 8 ohm impedance." http://www.epanorama.net/documents/audio/speaker_impedance.html

it looks like the amps you mention

all have different output circuits

and speaker configs

(parallel or series)

so hard to tell which one you have
