OK so after some discussions we decided to ask you guys directly if you prefer to leave the forum as is- just one big Guitar & Bass forum which includes all electric, acoustic, amps etc.

Or split it into two forums essentially: Electric Guitar & Bass and Acoustic Stringed Instruments (which is more than just acoustic guitar & bass, but could also allow for classical instruments such as the violin/viola etc.).

So please cast your vote!
Thank you!

Can we have an option for I have no preference please.

Thanks.

If you keep it it should stand alone. As a sub you have to click through to see current topics. PITA.

Right...and then after a few months, all those classical string players are probably going to want their OWN forum that splits appart from the acoustic guitarists. :D

Then you also might as well break up the guitar forum based on style of music/play. Why would a country picker want to discuss guitars/amps with the metal heads??? ;)

And then there's all those bass players...maybe one for the electric players and another for the acoustic, standup thumpers...? :)

There's too many forum categories already....IMHO.

Leave it as is. THe current setup draws me to new topics that if segregated I may never see. .02.

I vote for leaving it as is. There's not that much traffic.

I think we should separate the drum section into "Snare", "kik" "toms", etc....

Then, we can merge the "kik" forum with "bass" forum, since they have to lock in with each other.

Smart ass :spank: We will leave the poll for like 2 weeks time, so everyone has a chance to see it and vote.

Leave as is, but if you are trying to draw the classical guys (who could likely all drink us under the table) change the name to Stringed Instruments and Shit.

Chater-la put a coil tap on the humbucker that is the Guitars & Basses forum :(

the way it is brings more perspectives to the conversation, dividing guitars may cause newbies to pick sides. <there all the same, more or less>

Could simply split it guits and other stringed shit. I mean basses we're talking about are bass guits. There are also bass banjos. My Buzzard has a lot more in common with a Strat than it does with a Strad.

Well now, it's had one thread and two posts in a week. I say keep it.;)

Yeah, I was coming in to post more or what what Mutt just said - there's little enough activity here, I think since it's been a solid five days since the last post, a dedicated acoustic forum would be, as they say, dead on arrival.
