Substantially better would be my guess. The DMP3 was built as a $100 per channel preamp, based on the Burr Brown INA 163 chip. It is very well designed and sounds great--as good as several $400 -$600 preamps I have heard. The 1010lt, OTOH, is a $200 10 in/out soundcard that doesn't even spec out as well as the cheaper Audiophile 2496. Then they throw in a couple of preamps. Maybe they sound pretty good, but I doubt it.
