I have recently got that upgrade bug where I want something new but I also know that I haven't got everything out of my current equipment. I record just vocal and guitar for my self but I also record my church's worship band (6 tracks need for this). Here is my current set up:

AMD Athlon 3200+
160 gig 7200 Seagate (Windows/Apps)
120 gig 7200 Maxtore (audio)
1 gig ram
Delta 66 (synced to the AP2496 for total 6 inputs)
Audiophile 2496
ART Tube MP
Shure SM58
Behringer B-1
Behringer EURORACK MX1604A
SWR Strawberry Blonde AMP

How about some nice monitors?

The wharfedale diamond Pro 8.2 actives are available from deepwater for under $300

The first thing that stuck out on that list was the ART Tube MP. I have one of those. I'd think about a new mic pre. Maybe a DMP3?

I'm curious, though. I also have that Behri mixer (used for rehearsal set-up only). How are you getting 6 discrete sends from it? It has no inserts. OK, I think I know (just looked at mine). A combination of main outs, alt 3/4 outs and aux sends?

And BTW, the proper term is G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome)

The church where take my computer to on sundays has a big MAckie 24 channel mixer with 6 sends and 4 sub outs.

Monitors would be good, I have a high powered surround set from Logitech ( a left over from my gaming days) Any god suggestions?

I'll second the Wharfedale's. My mixes have improved dramatically since getting them.
