Yeah I been drinkin, SO!?
I apologize if this thread shows up twice, I tried earlier today...
On the album "Here Come the ABC's" by They Might be Giants, there is a guitar effect I find very cool and would like to duplicate at home if I can. On trach 21, "D is for Drums," in the intro, when he "flicks" deadened strings between notes/chords, it doesn't sound like strings but more like the cord being yanked out of the instrument, a real piercing, electronic-type POP! It sounds so cool in context. Anyone have this album and know how they're doing it? (c'mon, I can't be the only parent on here whose kid loves this album, I hope!) I'm convinced it's more than just playing technique.
Thanks for any help.
