I swear I was just at the Tascam site yesterday (or 6 months ago...) and they still listed everything for the TM-D1000. Now there's squat! Anyone know of a place to look for accessories for it? I'm mostly in need of a new expansion card for the effects menu, and the remote foot pedal ( I'm not sure if the pedal has to be one that was designed for the mixer or if any old foot switch will do... whatever I can do snapshot changes with). I was thinking about getting the mic preamp too though (MA-AD8... converts channels 9-16 to analog ins through the TDIF port). Huge thanx to anyone who has advice on this...

I noticed too

I have this unit.. .and I'm sure i'm a newbie compared to you...but I have the two adobe acrobat manuals that I downloaded and printed out for use...

I'm actually improving the use of this unit... I have it hooked up to a 822 pci and my DA-38.... not bad..

I hope someone is still posting a users group for this unit..

There used to be quite a following for this mixer, but it seems to have dwindled in the recent past. I bought mine when it was first introduced and had it for a couple of years before I finally tapped in to it's full potential. It really seems to work well for me in every application. I broke my expansion card for the effects menu though (long stupid story), so I really need to get my hands on a new one. I finally just called Teac (Tascams parent company) yesterday and made my way through the long process of their automated phone system. I spoke with someone in sales about accessories for the TM-D1000 and she said that they do have some on hand, but limited quantities, and they are depleted on a few items (one of those items was the mic preamp that ran through the TDIF port - damn!). Other than that she couldn't tell me much about future availability and components. I'm still trying to find out if the input for the foot-switch is made for a basic momentary switch, or if you need to purchase a pedal made specifically for the mixer. There is no pedal listed in the manual, but I swear I saw one advertised somewhere. Anyway - I'm rambling. If anyone has links to a users group for the TM-D1000 please let me know. I knew of a few sites at one point in time, but I've mis-placed the links somewhere. Thanx...

good to hear from you

glad to contact another user... glad you have good results..

I just play bluegrass and acoustic music so... i don't need to get too fancy...but acoustic recording can be tricky...

i'd love to hear about any users groups too..

I'm fed up with my TM-D1000s... they loose external word clock for an instant and immediately revert to internal... throws the whole chain into the chaos... I'm pulling my hair out... that is unless anyone knows about a firmware upgrade that I missed...

I just picked up a used TM-D1000 and found this board for info. I recently found a set of rack ears for it at Guitar Center. They didn't have them in stock locally, but they checked their nationwide inventory and found one set in North Houston.

I know the Beaverton, Oregon store has at least one add-on card in stock. I'm not sure if it's the effects card or second TDIF interface. GC has all the stuff marked down to cost to get rid of it. Have your local store check for you.

I lucked out on mine - it has both the effects and second TDIF card in it already.
