I'm sure this post will ultimately be copied 10 ten times on the front page of this forum. I'm having SERIOUS probs posting today....anyway...

So I'm pretty new to this computer-based audio mangling, but I'm starting to get the hang of it, and I must say it's a tad more flexible than my old 424mkii. Anyway, I ended up having to time stretch a small part of a song. and when I zoom in real close on the wave, I notice the samples are at a different spacing/rate than the rest of the wav, and the neighboring wavs. This of course, makes sense. But, do I need to do anything else to make sure this part of the track gets along with the rest of the song? Should I bounce the track (stretched parts and unstretched parts) to a new wav to get the samples to line back up again? Or is that unneccesary, becuase it will be done at the final mixdown anyway?

what software is this?

Im not sure how you are describing this, but in general, you should be fine to leave it alone till the final render

AA2.0. Yeah, I didn't notice any differences, but I wouldn't say I trust my ears to pick up every little hick up that might occur.

If other people don't pick it up, then you've gotten away with it. I've realised that sometiems the wavforms look wrong, but if a bass drum kick comes in, or a cymbal crash, and it gets covered in the mix then you've solved the problem.
