Hi all,
I'm video clueless but I made a slideshow that matches up to the beat of a song. It's a charity advert for youtube/facebook etc.

The song was 76BPM which made the maths awkward for timing the slides, but I stretch shortened the song to 75BMP which is 5 beats every 4 seconds.

Now, I kinda regret it a little because I can hear negative effects of time stretching the music.
Ordinarily I wouldn't care, but we're selling the song for the charity and it's a bit of a bad advert now!! lo.

Is it possible to time stretch the exported video to match the original song @ 76BPM?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah definitely can stretch the video with no ill effects. Especially a slide show. What are you using for your video editor?
In Vegas, you would grab the edge of the video clip and drag while holding the Ctrl key.

I'm using <curse> imovie.

I'm familiar with vegas. Maybe I could download the demo for this one job?

Presumably I could line the audio up too and bounce my final mov from vegas?

Thanks Chili.

Vegas is pretty cheap for what it can do... but I'm sure the demo would work just fine for this one job, like you said.

Or you could send your project file and raw materials to one of our friendly helpful staff who have Vegas and they may do it for ya, seeing you're a good bloke an' all...

I'd offer myself but I haven't turned my rec/vid 'puter on for about a month as I'm mired in painting the apartment. I'm not exactly sure where it is at the moment...

I love how Armistice just volunteered everyone else! Thanks man. :)

Tell you what. I'll get the final video done and bounce it out for all to see.

A couple of friends aren't convinced there's any problem.
