Occasionally I have to manually drop vocal files into a session when I work with other people, and when I have a session that is damaged and I have reconstruct the session, there I am, manually using trial and error to find the right spot again for vocals to be on beat.
My question: is there a way for me to have markers automatically placed in the session that indicate where a new bar starts when the beat is matching the session tempo? In other words, instead of hitting record at any random place in a session, is it possible to limit where the audio file begins recording to exact bar points?
