Have the Cubase VST32/5 for Mac (G4 733); very happy with that so far. However, you good folks here have just about convinced me to go the SX--upgrade route.

Problem! Bought Cubase VST32/5 competetive upgrade version a year and a half ago from Mars (upgrading from a version of Cakewalk 9/Windows I never used, except for the XFX2 SF plugins ;)) and never sent in the registration info  :o :o :o

Figured "phooey on that! I don't need no stinkin' registration! Or manual!" Dum dum. :):) Actually it was more that I didn't record anything for almost a year that I let it go. :(

I imagine Steinberg would still be cool if I sent them the Cakewalk 9 disc and registration card (required for the competetive upgrade version) but I'm unsure. They'd still register me, dontcha think? Possibly send someone out to give me a spanking ... but... this would be the only way I could get the upgrade SX. Otherwise, I'm shellin' out all the bux.

Whatcha think?

I'd e-mail their customer service and see what they say. They have always been quick to respond when I e-mailed them.

Never hurts to ask :D

yep

that's what i was thinking, but didn't know if that was crazy or not.

Besides, it doesn't look like SX is ready for the Mac yet anyway. D'Oh!:o :p

I am sure it will be before too long, and it's never too early to get ahold of them. Right now would probably be a good time because I would imagine that when SX for Mac is out they are going to be very busy fielding a bunch of questions from people.

Let us know what they say.
