Can anyone tell me just how far can you deviate in BPM before the signal loses its integrity to a noticeable degree? I would assume that even if the signal starts to sound "flaky" the capability of slowing down a segment of music would still be a very usable feature in editing. But slowing down an entire song for the purpose of making it easier to "keep up with" ... does that work? Within what sort of limits?

Anyone?

Thanks

I have tweaked a couple of songs using the 'stretch' function. l haven't gone more than 10% each way, which is a LOT in terms of speed, but I haven't had problems.

It depends a great deal on the nature of the material - legato classical piano for instance will hardly stretch at all without it showing.

My personal experience - speed up 10%: Slow down 5%...This assumes you're trying to keep the same pitch.
