Three ADC PJ380 patch bays

While I though I had sold off all my unnecessary patch bays, while cleaning out the attic I found three more that I don't need, since I have 20 Gentners already soldered in and in use.

These patch bays are 1U in size, and have five solder eye-tabs per jack, which I spent most of my morning unsoldering the extremely short wire snips there were hanging off. So these are clean, ready to be soldered and installed.

There are five solder eye-tabs per jack, three for the actual TRS connections, and two for the normalling of the T and R signal paths, which you can solder in parallel to the T and R jacks immediately below (or above) row of jacks, or another patch bay, for a half-normalled situation. Or you can solder the switched T and R signal paths to another T and R signal paths in another row or another patch bay, for a true full normaled situation. Or don't hook them up if you don't need that functionality.

I checked each jack one at a time after desoldering, and all the jacks conduct well as do the switched contacts. These are true ADC patch bays and not some knock-off garbage with plastic fittings - these were used in my old pro studio which is long gone, and was a neat find in my attic to say the least. Nice stroll down memory lane. Two of the patch bays were part of the machine room which was used to share the pair of 24-ch Otari's between Studio A and Studio B, and the third patch bay was wired to a slew of compressors that could be patched into any of the input channels of the Otari's for any purpose.

Again, the patch bays are completely desoldered and ready for use.

There are some minor scratches on the top of the unit, all the way in the back, and there is a slight amount of rack rash because when it was installed in my long-gone pro studio whoever mounted it didn't use the plastic washers like they were supposed to. It's clean otherwise.

$125 each plus actual shipping from the 07067 zip code, I am in north-central NJ.

I will make a "bundle deal" where if you desire all three, I'll knock off $75 and sell them for $300 plus actual shipping, since it saves me the hassle of boxing them individually and making three trips to the post office, UPS or Fed-Ex depending how things work out.

Please note that I have always had a ton of problems with PM's for some reason, and I apologize for that. I think it's because I use "Lynx" in text mode under linux rather than Windows... but that's another story. You can email me directly if you are interested: frederic (at) midimonkey (dot) com, I generally read my email every day.

Note: I'm spelling all this out because of the recent "possible fraud" going on with some sellers here and people's fear that everyone selling could be a dirtbag. I've been here since 2000 and have approximately 2300 posts to my name...

Model Change

Well, the patch bay's model number didn't change, I simply read it incorrectly (remind me to take it out of the rack and look at it right side up!).

The model number is PJ-390, it's a 52 point, longframe solder bay not a 48 point.

So, sorry for the confusion.

Here is a picture of a PJ380 patch bay. The ones I have are also clean.
