Nice tune! Enjoyed that. Has a JD "Eagle and the Hawk" vibe.

Couldn't listen on the good playbacks right now - maybe later.

The dbphoto page plays neither of the things I click on.
Plays for me. Ill add an mp3 when i get home. It’s a big wav file so maybe your connection couldn't handle?

I'm hearing a bit too much limiting. Everything seems turned up to the max. It's fatiguing in wince factor to listen to accordingly - and it has got a midrange nasal quality to the overall mix that is the likely result of the harder limiting byproduct. When all the frequencies are squished, the mids become FAR more prominent. The fix is merely dial back the limiter until it sounds more natural - and "air" returns around the performances - so they become better defined in the space. Minor mix adjustments will be needed, likely, to account for the change in relativities due to less glue.

Levels/Panning etc ... are all in the right ballpark. Vocal is lacking edges - meaning it's not in a "pocket" - but that is (again) likely due to the limiter squashing everything together. There is no pocket to sit in when pressed hard against everything else.

Not really a problem with the underlying mix, per se (given minor adjustments). It's the application on the two bus that needs the most address.

I brought the 2bus maximizer down 2db. links above reflect changes.

Just reiterating.... this is excellent. Really enjoyable. Ya'll should be proud of that.

Listened on the good speakers - sounds spot on to my ears.

I'm gonna replace the 12 string on left at start as it was poorly recorded and sounds boxy. Then I think it's ready.

I don't normally comment on the tracking, focusing on mixing what you've got. I will, though, second this initiative.

The limiting is MUCH better - but you're in the "range" where if it pleases your ear, then it is done. I'd probably bring it back another db or two nonetheless - to please mine.

Other than mentioned, stick a fork in it.
