Thoughts on some wee songs?

hey, so i just stumbled on this site and it seems pretty cool. i've just recently started writing songs and thought this seemed like a good place to get honest, impartial, constructive feedback (something which is very difficult to find!).
anyway, they have been really badly recorded (mostly on an old dictaphone type thing), so please bear in mind that they are only rough sketches. i will get round to recording some proper, in tune demos sometime. and besides, i kinda like the whole lo-fi kinda thing anyway.
but back to the point, you can find the songs on my myspace. its /leonadarling
(apparently i cant post actual links yet?:confused:)
so please feel free to have a listen and let me know what you think. if you want me to post the lyrics just let me know.

I listened to the songs on bebo - they seem about the same volume/recording as MySpace.

Overall, I think the writing is very good. I like the lyrics, melody and guitar arrangement on all the songs I listened to. Nice finger-picking on the guitar.

How about some background details.....
Is that you in the picture on the left?
Is the guy on the right the guitar player in all your songs?
Do you play any instruments on the recordings?
Are you the main singer or is it the guitar player?
Are you the backup singer? Are you two co-writers?

With some reasonably inexpensive equipment you can get a much better recording. Poke around this site and ask questions in the various forums. See what is available in your budget. I'd like to hear these without all the tape hiss, your songs are good and deserve a better recording.
