ADD -- blessing and curse
I have an idea for a song that I think would make a great love/wedding song, as a duet.

I have the basic concept, and there's a phrase I definitely want to use, but with minor modifications based on who is singing (it would be a male & female duet).

I'm a bit stuck on how to actually build around the idea and the line.

I'm thinking of titling the song "The Promise" or something like that.

Any thoughts?

Indubitably! I would concur! Except the caveat that the phrasing of said lyrics is quite different from the norm.

I don't know exactly what that means or why it negates using Google or other means of guided randomization. Type the words in and see what kinds of words and images come back. See where they take you.

PS: There is also the thesaurus.

What it means is that I'm using phrasing that is a little out of the norm, and so Google may not turn up anything. I'm not so sure a dictionary would help either, but I'll check and see what turns up in thesaurus.

Write the phrase in the center of a piece of paper.
Circle it.
Start writing down every word or phrase that pops into your head.
Ask yourself what emotion does this phrase hold/evoke?
Write those down.
What color does this phrase remind me of?
Write that down.
Who might say this?
Write that down.
Who might they say it to?
Write that down.
Where might this happen?
When?
How?
Why?

Take the best words and phrases from your brainstorming session and write them in the center of a piece of paper.
Rinse and repeat.

Works for me when I am stuck.

Not a bad idea. I want this to be a very, very powerful song, so I may need to try that.

Just don't put quotes around the phrase in Google, and it'll put a boolean "and" between the words.
