Yeah, Dave... that's similar to the seller in your "big spender" post. I mean some guys really do IT. I feel sometimes like 'donating a few bucks' to their PayPal accounts for providing free gear-visuals on the net :)

Yeah,...

better gear pix sells gear better. ;)
I used to have thousands of great gearpix, but I lost 'em in a little 80Gb corruption incident, a while back.  I used to "harvest" gearpix off the web, daily. I gave that up, though, 'cause I don't have the time.  ;)

Anyway,... better gear pix sells gear better.

Good gear pics are good. It always kills me when an ebayer puts up about 6 photos all shot at the same angles never showing the backside or a close up. Like, what's the point?

also, I know that good pics are for better sale. I just thought that this seller really have made some excellent shots ...regardless
since all the items are gone, I'm just going to post this one link (pls don't shoot me :p for that)... kenwood 700T ...
as I was trying myself making 'nice' shots of various gear, instruments etc. in the past, I know it's not that easy as it may seem to be ...especially when making shots of illuminated panels, detailed zoom-ins on reflective parts/surfaces and things like that etc.
well, you've got the point...and it's no big deal, I'm just into graphics a bit myself from time to time...so

The Kenwood shots are really nice and the background doesn't hurt either .. ;) Makes it look like the guy is swimming in $$. :D

Also, I personally think that photos come out best when well illuminated by natural light or simulation there of .. I rarely use a flash. ;)

Check out this guy's photos and presentation.

Nothing fancy but effective. He told me he used an inexpensive Fuji digital camera. It looks as if he has lots of surrounding natural light going for him. This other guy I know, on the other hand, has a $1000+ digital camera and his photos don't even come close to that quality. As with everything, it's HOW you use it! :D ;)

Daniel! Yeah, those at your link are nice too... more on 'professional' (as more systematic) side of it. The shots like Kenwood are more on 'artistic side' ... ???..as it looks to me.
