What is the best method of determining the exact BPM of a song/sample other than trial and error.
 
use a bpm counter. Or if your delay unit allows it, you can tap it out on there.
 
Here's an online calculator I want...

How many BPM is "x" bars of "y.yy" seconds in a certain time signature (i.e 4/4)?

Yeah I love that site especially when pitch shifting and transposing, been using it since I saw the vid. :D

Some progs. have bpm calculators, Cubase has a pretty good one. There's a shareware prog I downloaded a while back I'll have to find the link, it's never right though...lol Maybe it's just me.
