I like having two overheads. I've gotten some really awesome sounds with 2 SM-81's over the kit...one kind of over the drummer's right shoulder that picked up a lot of the low end from the toms but still gave a good ride sound w/out being too much...the other we experimented with moving it around close to the hi-hat, so we could control that oo, and then we just put the other a few feet off the kit up a foot or two...
So after all my blabbing, I'd say get another overhead
