It seems like every time I turn on the 1680, one more input had died. I was recording a live band tonight, and needed all 8 inputs. I knew that one didnt work already, so I engineered it down to 7. Got to the hall, hooked everythind up, and wham, two more inputs quit. What the fatt is wrong. Am I doing something stupid? Where can I send it to get it fixed here in Ga?

Two things are wrong. One, the first sentence is a is question so you should have used a question mark at the end. The second, the word you were looking for was fuck.

It may be a software bug. I'd check the rolandus site for the latest OS update. If you have it, I can only suggest then that you re-initialize the HD (after backing up) and seeing if it will work. If not, I am afraid you'll have to take it in to be fixed.

Thank you, sir TrackRat. I also believe that what was thought to be a sentence by Mister Jblount, is actually nothing more than sentence fragments.

Gramatically correct or not, I have realized the problem must be the software. I rebooted today, and all the iputs are working fine. Thanks for the corrections and advice.

when something doesn't seem to work on my 1680, i usually save the 'current' scene, and try one of the ez-routings. so far, it always brought the machine 'back to normal operating procedure'.

and there's the 'mixer initialize'-function too!

I've run into the same issue on occasion with my 1824. Rebooting is the solution. However- remember to optomize and back up the tracks first, because the backup will include the disabled input as part of the scene, and when you upload it, it will dutifully re-disable the inputs in question.-Richie

Thanks rich. I guess next time, I will load up a song, and check every iniput before recording anything. Is this a glitch that can be repaired (for a reasonable price)? I was thinking of just selling it and buying the big daddy 24.
