That is interesting. I've never really heard such a direct comparison between the same sound panned with relative volume levels vs delay/haas effect. It's never really occurred to me to try it. I always considered the two just different means to attaining the same ends. I'd heard some audio engineers rave on about haas and how it sounded more natural and alive with an overall 'bigger' sound and i just thought they were being gimmicky. I guess it's subtle, but i did notice there was a difference, a slightly different ambience to the illusion of space. Maybe my brain was just fooling me though. I guess both methods have their applications. It was fun just scrolling over the grid aside from anything else :) Thanks for posting that.
