This is a hard one to mix....

Your main problem right now is that the vocals don't sit well at all. You might try to give them more of a live feel with a bit of slap back echo.

Hi Rick,

I like the song. I'm not too keen on the "big LA sound" production, but that's just personal tase.

Like the last poster said, I think you need to set the vocal in a bit more. Also, the drums seem very separated - the crash WAAAAYY over here, the toms WAAAYY over there. Perhaps bring them a bit closer together.

Cheers,
Mscmln.

ya might move the drums back a bit and bring the kit in closer to center stage. Bring the cymbals down. The electric guitar is up front a bit too much for me. Some highs added on the bass would give ti more voice but dont let it rob the acoustic. let the kick have some of that low end around 100 and take some off the bass. The vocal is pretty hard close-mic sounding, The slapback mentioned would help move it back a bit and smooth it.

Slap back

Can anyone recomend a good pulug in that has decent slap back reverb setting ?

Thanks
Rick
