this hissing sound will be the death of me

ok so i got a yamaha sound card (SW60XG) which cost me a lot o moolah but when i start up the comp it seems that the sound card is picking up the sound of the motor in the comp!! it even picks up the sound of the motor of the cd rom

i do use logic audio and the hissing is still there. please help me im headed for meltdown

whenever you pay a lot of money for something , i strongly believe in after sales service (of course not always convenient) ..so i would get onto the place you bought it and get them working for you .. I had terrible problems with my soundcard , but after 3 new soundcards , thanks to the manufacturer , i finally figured out what it was ... and guess what !!! it was absolutely shitall to do with the card .. These guys were great though .. and thats the way it should be .. U should have something working really well before that sales contact is lost .. Anyway just another opinion.. goodluck

How close is your Yami to your Video Card...
and I hope its not runnin it there with the Modem :)

the card is in the comp box somewhere i dont know because i didnt install it the guy i bought my comp from did it for me and yes there is a modem in the box also but i dont make music while im connected so i dont see the biggie about that but ill definitely get on them salespeoples backs (metaphorically speaking) and get them to help me out
